 | 04:30 pm - Holy shit guys, Zombieland! (Nice observation, Ellis)
Also, minor spoilers, but considering we get it later than everyone else, I call fair game.
- Tallahassee is totally Francis. - Case in point is his holding off zombie hordes without so much as breaking a sweat and enjoying it the whole time. - Columbus totally looks like composingliger right down to the curl almost-fro hair and nerdy panic. - Getting screwed over by the girls repeatedly = lol. - Ladies and gentlemen, BILL MURRAY. - Zombie makeup is not a good thing to wear around a twitchy Columbus. - Twinkies. - No matter how dire, none of the protagonists actually die.

 | 11:58 am - *flops over journal and dozes* - Discovering a 9:30am class is cancelled when you had to be up at 6:30am to get there on time sucks.
- Still haven't wholly recovered from the Victoria trip, mostly because the wet weather appears to have chased us up here today, and I feel like crud on top of five hours of sleep. Wry.
- My literary engines have a horrible urge to maul and mistreat Sebastian, based off my childhood-scarring viewing of RoboCop 2 and the infamous dismemberment-of-the-cyborg scene. I have no idea why.
- I have love scratches all over my wrists and forearms from holding both the sister's ferrets. It stings because they care!
- Saw someone walking a husky/malamute/you know the general species puppy on the way back from uni. It was a ball of adorable fluff.
- I think I've finally narrowed down that compulsion to commission to a select few ideas instead of a massive swarm of them. We'll see what eventuates if I find an active artist. Current Mood: tired Current Music: Lisa Lougheed - Run With Us

 | 09:04 am - tormented kings Inhuman update! (along with the inks, as usual, of course)
well, it's late again D: this time despite pulling a literal all-nighter. i'm going to try to continue a saturday update schedual but i'm still not entirely certain... i may wind up having to switch the comic to updating on sundays. i was up from midnight through the day, plus drawing in the car, which meant i got about three hours sleep. on a friday night. that's rather criminal, in my opinion, and this was a GOOD week with time at work. given that, i honestly can in no way promise the bonus comics will update any time soon. i still have someone's commissions to finish, plus some promised gift art...
let me tell something to any aspiring webcomic artists out there - once your comic takes you more than six hours a week to complete and you're no longer in school, you begin to have a lot of trouble balancing it with a real life. not impossible to do, just...interesting.
anyhoo on to the rest of the update!
...fanstuff sasori sempai - 1 new touch my badger (new artist!) - 1 new tekra also wrote a new fanfic, "Tekra's Tale" and under "other fanthings" whatwith made an amazing glass bottle with a myche on it.
 ( safe-for-work art all under here! )
also DON'T FORGET to donate to the charity drive!

 | 05:52 pm - look out! fuzzlers in need! ATTENTION DOG LOVERS/CHARITY PEOPLE!
naja and her fellow rescue canines need your help!
a pitbull rescue organization i follow/donate too called Villalobos is having an extremely rough winter. you may have actually heard of villalobos from the show on animal planet "Pitbulls and Parolees". basicly they're an amazing organization that not only rescues, retrains and rehomes dogs but also offers parolees gainful employment and housing for the duration of their parole.
and as i said, they're having a really rough winter. their pipes are freezing and the dogs are freezing their short-coated little rears off. they have asked if people would please mail them blankets to keep the dogs warm. the blankets don't need to be new or quality, they just need to be suitable for dogs to snuggle into in the chilly weather.
PLEASE consider sending your old blankets to Villalobos!
Villalobos 44021 Shad Street Lancaster, CA 93536 USA
by the way, for every blanket mailed to Villalobos, it counts as 20$ for the Inhuman Charity Drive. so if you do donate a blanket, be sure to let me know!

 | 09:19 pm - Things I learned from my short trip a) No comments on my journal. ZOMG I AM UNLOVED. :b b) Victoria has terrible weather. 7c in the morning is cold, no matter what akutenshi7 and lalladil say. c) Melbourne traffic at 5:30pm can kindly fuck off and die. d) Rural towns have the best names. Wangaratta, Ettamoogah, and the unfortunately named Dookie for a few examples. e) I conjure storms by my mere presence, if the SMS from composingliger is to be believed.

Heading off with my Dad this morning down to Victoria to pick up the younger sister and her stuff - she's coming home due to relationship issues that are really none of my business to relay here, but it's not an end-of-the-world sort of breakup at least. Technically I don't need to go down at all, but she asked me to so yeah, there I go. Don't miss me too much. To keep you all busy, have this sketch Tony did of a sleepy-eyed fanda hugging a huge clover. See you Friday night!

Charity Drive Update!
with a huge goodwill donation from garudaserpant and a blood donation from another reader, Chovek begins to close the gap. there haven't been many donations to charities yet, which makes me awful sad. c'mon guys, volunteering in winter is important to everyone. people who can't make it through winter rely on the help of those who can...and we're all in this mess together, so it pays to help one another out.
someone also mentioned to me they were preparing meals for elderly and shut-ins as part of their volunteer hours? can you please contact me, i've forgot who you were or where you mentioned it!
also - it's a snow day! too bad my owner's manual reads "warm weather operation only." Current Mood: busy Current Music: Lemon Jelly - '88 (Come Down On Me)

 | 07:34 pm - guess who's in the freezer Inhuman update! (with your inks stage on DA, of course.)
man you ever have one of those weekends where when you're finally done your big weekend project, you just want ANOTHER weekend? that would be this weekend, and that project this comic. weather, a new job and moving conspired to make it late. i swear. at this rate i'm considering pushing the date back to sundays, just because i'm unsure if i can keep a consistant saturday schedule. i'll know more after this week, since there's no moving going on on TOP of the new job.
so! fanstuff!

things it involves: -belts on arms -a move where you hump the air -earrings of shoes -shoes that are guns -hair that transforms into a dragon and a giant boot -a character whose clothing periodically just flies off leaving her completely naked for no real reason -butterfly wings that appear when you double jump -the most rediculous gun-firing pose ever seen by mankind -a katana. of course a katana. -evil angels. of course evil angels.
veestah's SO mike was playing the demo last night and we all enjoyed a good lol. apparently the gameplay is fun, though? vee drew cial as a shuckle, as you can see. and i worked on the comic...which should be up later on today, i just have errands i have to run.

 | 08:12 pm - Writer's Block: Reminiscing about the Internet
It introduced me to e-mail, and more importantly, to roleplaying chatrooms. Without those, I'd have never found half the people I know now. The other half came from online webcomics, when I first met Silver and through her a bunch of other people and furries. I wonder what my internets life would have been like if I hadn't gone to the DG/CoW that one time... or if I'd never fanboyishly e-mailed Silver begging for a character cameo.

 | 09:28 am - Legacy of Dreams. Kain and Raziel doth infest my brain.
I don't know the context, but more time displacement travelling tomfoolery was ensuing. Kain, Raziel, and some female character who was possibly a hunter or someone useful. The only flashes I remember are one point where they're exploring a shattered old ruin and trying to figure out where they are, when Raziel recognises the floor design as the Pillar Chamber. When he notes this and Kain takes a look, the hunter lady is quick to accuse them of "see, this is what happened, you vampires destroyed the pillars", but Kain and Raziel simultaneously note that the floor design is too new, and they're actually in the -far past- before the Pillars were even erected. The woman is quick to apologise, but the duo are savvy enough to note she was -very- quick to accuse them of being evil bastards.
How distrustful they all are is never really shown, as the dream jumps forward to some unknown period, where the trio are descending into a crypt. There is definite K/R ho-yay as Kain takes Raziel by the arm and informs him to keep close as they don't know what could be down here, since they're stalking the Elder God. It's illuminated up above, and they discuss things idly with the hunter as they descend into gradual darkness and get seperated. Kain can see in the dark, but he's alone, and Raziel is with the hunter lady, using the wraith-reaver as a light source for her sake. She continues talking about the Elder God, the land, the vampires, and other sorts of things. Raziel, behind her, continues silently, then extinguishes the reaver when she reaches a particularly vitriolic rant. As the light goes out she turns around in surprise / fear of the dark, as the wraith grabs her by the throat, breaks her neck, and eats her soul.
And then he goes off through the dark to find Kain again, who we briefly see, quasi-illuminated in the dark, with a "just as planned" smirk as he and Raziel disappear into the depths to smite Elder God. The end. Current Mood: groggy Current Music: Frost - Enslaved
